Whats next for Bitcoin? 2024–25

After the endless BS of Bitcoin halving, we need to ask ‘whats next?’

I think the answer is very simple.

Bitcoin has failed as an ‘electronic payment system’ as its too slow and expensive. Its rarely used as an international transfer currency.

Bitcoin is not accepted as a ‘digital gold’ because its better than gold. More convenient, cheaper to invest in, store and sell. With money-printing idiot politicians, the demand for a non-inflationary store-of-value is universal.

Most importantly, financial institutions are now promoting Bitcoin to their client portfolios and this has only just started. The Bitcoin ETFs from the USA are crowed about and it should be noted that this is just the start.

Morgan Stanley just announced that its 15,000 ‘advisers’, ie salesmen, have started promoting bitcoin ETFs. Yet this is peanuts compared to what the Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Europeans, etc will bring to the party.

So what’s next?

I have looked at all the ‘charts’ and endless commentary and they tell me nothing. Its all speculatory gibberish to justify someone saying ‘its going up!’

Gee wizz.

New demand [with halved supply from miners] means the price will increase. It will potentially spike due to a supply crisis yet its going up.

How high with price go? How fast?

Groan. No-one knows. All predictions are guesses.

My guess is that it will be $100k relatively soon. $200–250k at the end of this growth cycle.

Once it get over US$200k, its pushing $4trillion market cap. That’s more than the value of all gold in public hands.

Thats more than the Total Money Supply [M2] of every country except the USA, China, Japan and Germany.

Forget all the crypto-hype. If Bitcoin is a ‘store-of-value’ currency then we need to compare it with the market.

And all other ‘use cases’ for Bitcoin are irrelevant in value compared to this.

In summary. Sell the car and buy bitcoin until its $150k. Its about 150% growth from today. Which is better than any ‘big’ investment class on the planet.
